Blackout prep work
An important opportunity for public education and activism will present itself with this summer's expected blackouts. While a power meltdown will take the entire city by surprise, with enough prep. and organizing NYClimateCoalition will be ready to launch a series of strategic, site specific actions.
"It's better with the lights out" is an idea to bring some humor to the situation through opening a public dialogue about our city's power use.
Possible actions include:
-A 'Future Blackout Survival Guide" -all tips for reducing carbon emissions, climate change, websites, contact info, advice for continued action, etc
-leaflets, flyers
-street theater
